ADD-ON
TREATMENTS

Evidence shows that combining PRP with additional treatments can improve results and help maintain hair growth for longer.
At your consultation, should you require, we’ll guide you on what’s most suitable for you:

MEDICAL

  • Certain medicines can slow hair loss and, in some cases, stimulate regrowth. The most commonly used are:

    • Minoxidil (a topical solution or foam) – improves blood supply to hair follicles and helps stimulate growth.

    • Finasteride (a daily tablet, suitable for men) – blocks the hormone (DHT) that shrinks hair follicles.
These treatments are backed by strong clinical evidence and are often used alongside PRP or other supportive therapies for best results.

Prescription costs are paid directly to the pharmacy.

  • This is a one-off saliva test that looks at your DNA to understand how your body responds to different hair loss treatments.

    • It helps identify whether medications such as finasteride or minoxidil are likely to work well for you.

    • It can also give insight into other factors affecting hair health.
This means treatment can be tailored to your genetics rather than trial and error.

  • Blood tests help identify uderlying causes of hari thinning.Full Blood Count (FBC) – checks overall health, anaemia.

    • Ferritin – measures iron stores; low levels are linked to hair shedding.

    • Vitamin D – deficiency is common and associated with hair thinning.

    • Thyroid Function Tests (TSH, Free T4 ± Free T3) – underactive or overactive thyroid can cause hair loss.

    • Vitamin B12 & Folate – important for red blood cell health and hair growth.

SUPPORTIVE

  • This wearable cap uses red light technology to stimulate hair follicles at a cellular level.

    • Increases blood flow to the scalp

    • Extends the growth (anagen) phase of the hair cycle

    • Backed by clinical trials showing improvement in thickness and density when used regularly.

  • ermaroller
A small roller with fine needles used at home to gently create micro-channels in the scalp.

    • Boosts blood circulation and growth factors

    • Can improve absorption of topical treatments like minoxidil

    • Works synergistically with PRP by encouraging healing and regeneration in the scalp.

  • While not a cure for hair loss, the right nutritional support can help maintain healthy hair.

    • Biotin, zinc, vitamin D and iron are particularly important

    • Supplements can be especially helpful if your diet or blood tests show deficiencies
They are best used as part of a combined treatment plan rather than on their own.
